Here are some installation tips: Clean wall and make sure it is dried out. For freshlycolored walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days prior to installing decals. Even if new paint seems dry, it may nonetheless need to settle and totallycure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not suggested on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to apply onto tile provided that the surface is clean and completelyfree of moisture during application. Be certain the design element does not overlap grout area as water couldfilter under and compromise the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are positionedfirmly onto the surface so wateris unable toget under the decal. Once placed, RoomMates will notshift even if sprayed by shower. Vinyl wall decals shouldn't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they must not be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and ruin the product. Also, do notput at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could seepbeneath the peel and stick too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When applying, make sure you begin from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element at a distance from the wall/surface. Gradually go down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you should be able to move any leftover bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the section. If the problempersists (this would solelyhappen with the giant decals), you can punch a teeny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to push the air out. In all, it will always bemost effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is textured, operation could be seriouslydiminished. Make sure surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and ruin the item. |
