Even if new paint feels dry, it may nonetheless need to settle and completely cure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or delicate surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to apply onto tile as long as the surface is clean and completely dry during application. Be sure the design element does not cover grout area as water might leak under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are positioned tightly onto the surface so water can't reach under the decal. Once placed, RoomMates won't shift even if sprayed by shower. Vinyl wall decals should not be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they should not be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and ruin the product. Also, do not place at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could filter underneath the peel and stick too easily and would damage the adhesive. When using, make sure you start from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element separate from the wall/surface. Gradually go straight down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you ought to be able to shift any leftover bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the issue persists (this would solely happen with the giant decals), you can punch a tiny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to drive the air out. In all, it is always best to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is textured, operation could be significantly diminished. Make certain surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and destroy the product. |
